Lewis Porter
HEAD COACH
Coach Porter has been with Leander Raiders Lacrosse for 13 years - eight of those years as the Head Coach for the High School Team. In 2021, he was Central Texas Class D Coach of the Year.
Under his leadership, the Raiders were 2021 District Champs with 12 players receiving district awards, and the team placing 2nd place in 2022 with 10 players receiving awards.
During his 8 years as the high school coach, 11 former players have been recruited to play college lacrosse, joined college club teams or have coached. His son who played for the Raiders was recruited to play at Dean College and played every game during his 4 year college career.
Those that know Coach Lewis, know that the awards and recognition are not why he coaches. He wants to make sure that every kid who wants to play the game of lacrosse gets the chance to do so. He wants players to gain confidence in their ability, find their home and build a love for lacrosse. He wants to see the lacrosse program continue to grow in Central Texas.

Marty was recently awarded the District Assistant Coach of the Year for helping Leander reach their first-ever District Championship. Helping his son and other players be recruited and transition to college teams is rewarding and motivates Marty to continue to help grow the team. Marty looks forward to the future opportunities for Leander Lacrosse players.

After college, Michael returned to Austin and participated in the lacrosse community both as a player and volunteer coach. Professionally, Aldo is a Software Engineer with a profound love and passion for technology. He translates this same analytical approach, detail-orientation, and innovative problem-solving to the lacrosse field. Like many on the coaching staff, his journey into the sport began as a parent, and he is now dedicated to creating a positive, growth-oriented environment where every player can thrive. ASSISTANT COACH - 7TH AND 8TH GRADE TEAM
I’ve been coaching youth sports for the past 8 years, working with my son in football, soccer, t-ball, and now lacrosse. I recently retired after 20 years of service in the United States Marine Corps. When my son started playing lacrosse, I began learning the game alongside him and helping wherever I could. As his love for the sport grew, I committed to coaching so I could support his development and help him become a better player. I played football in high school and graduated from Lockhart High School. I currently work as a Safety Officer with the Texas General Land Office.

Chris Hamilton
COACH - 5TH AND 6TH GRADE TEAM
Hi everyone! I’m excited to be part of the team this season. I grew up in the Bay Area, California, but have lived all over the U.S., which has given me a love for exploring new places and meeting great people. I work in the hospitality industry, where I get to be part of a fast-paced, team-focused environment, planning and running large events.
Although I don’t have a lacrosse background, I’m excited to learn more about the sport and bring in some of my experience from playing soccer in high school. Most importantly, I’m here to help our players grow, work together, and have fun! Outside of coaching, I love spending time with my family and capturing moments through photography. Looking forward to a great season!
Greg Lambert
COACH - 3RD AND 4TH GRADE TEAM
Hi everyone. I'm super excited to be one of the coaches working with K3-4 this year. My wife and I moved from the DC area of 10yrs ago and now consider ourselves honorary Texans. I was a multi- sport athlete all the way up to college (basketball, football, volleyball, & track)
I've learned a lot about life by playing team sports. My coaches helped form a lot of the values I hold true to this day. Honesty, accountability, loyalty, respect, and compassion. I see coaching as a calling and I treat it as such. Having spent my early young adult years in DC/MD Lacrosse is no stranger to me and a sport that I found to be great to play/watch/and coach. But more importantly I'm here to help your kiddos, grow bonds and if not fall in love with the sport, at least have a ball while trying.
Professionally, I'm a Software Engineer of 20 years and a budding amateur photographer. Even with the rage of AI, I still enjoy building/designing and deploying cloud-based applications and tinkering with new things at home. If there are enough coaches I'm often walking the sidelines with my camera. So be sure to have your best sideline pose ready for that next awesome camera shot. Let's GO RAIDERS!!!!
Gilbert Gonzales
HEAD COACH - K - 2ND GRADE TEAM
A Texas native and lifelong athlete, I’m proud to serve as a coach for our K-4th grade lacrosse teams. My son is in his second year playing, and I’m passionate about helping him and his teammates develop both on and off the field.
I competed in baseball, track, and football growing up, and for the past 17 years I’ve trained in boxing, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I currently hold a second-degree Brown Belt in Jiu Jitsu and train multiple times a week, in addition to strength training. These disciplines have shaped my approach to coaching — emphasizing discipline, hard work, accountability, and respect.
Professionally, I’ve been a real estate broker in the Austin metro area for 20 years. When I’m not working or training, I enjoy spending weekends grilling and smoking meats with family and friends. I’m a proud Texas and Cowboys fan, but above all, I love sports and the lessons they teach.
My goal this season is to create a positive, energetic environment where kids can learn fundamentals, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love for the game.
Brandon Krueger
COACH - K - 2ND GRADE TEAM
Brandon Krueger coaches the K-2nd team. New to lacrosse, along with his son, Keaton, we are enjoying learning the sport together, and focusing on teamwork, fundamental skills, and fun for the young players.
Brandon enjoys helping kids discover a love for the game, compete together, and learn important life lessons through sport.
He completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Texas A&M, and also holds his MBA from the University of Texas San Antonio. Brandon currently serves as the director of fuel pricing and space planning at Buc-ee’s. In his spare time he enjoys hunting and serving as a deacon at New Hope First Baptist Church.
Evan mair
COACH - 3RD AND 4TH GRADE TEAM
As an active duty Army officer now serving at the Army’s Transformation and Training Command in Austin, TX, I bring the same commitment, discipline, and servant‑leadership ethos to coaching lacrosse that I bring to my military career. Lacrosse has shaped my life for decades, both as a former NCAA Division I athlete at West Point and as a lifelong student of the game. For my family and me, lacrosse is more than a sport—it is a vehicle for building character, resilience, and teamwork.
My coaching philosophy is grounded in player development, fundamentals, and lacrosse IQ. I emphasize an adaptive, team‑first approach built on communication, ball movement, and understanding the full‑field flow of play. I believe in empowering athletes to make smart decisions under pressure and to play selflessly within a cohesive unit. These principles reflect both my athletic experience and my leadership background in the Army, where overcoming adversity and supporting teammates are daily realities.
I see lacrosse as a microcosm of life: it teaches discipline, confidence, humility, and the value of hard work. As a coach, I strive to create an environment where players grow not only as athletes, but as young men and women of character. I lead by example, prioritizing mentorship, skill progression, and a positive team culture.
Away from my Army responsibilities, most of my time is spent on the field with my two children, who share my love of the game. I am excited for the opportunity to serve the Leander, TX lacrosse community and contribute to each player’s development, both on and off the field.
